Administering mailing lists

As an administrator of a MailMan mailing list, there are numerous tasks that you can perform within MailMan's administration console. The following sections provide instructions for performing the most common administrative tasks. For other tasks, consult the MailMan documentation available at http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman.html.

To access the administration console:

  1. In SiteEasy, click Email.
  2. In the MailMan Mailing Lists box, click Administer. A page similar to the following appears.
  3. Click any of the links.

If you are prompted for an Administrative Password, you need to modify your Internet Options. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, select Start > Control Panel > Internet Options. Select the Privacy tab, click Advanced, and ensure that the "Override automatic cookie handling" and "Always allow session cookies" options are selected. Save the configuration, refresh your browser and then log back into SiteEasy and into your MailMan list. You will no longer be prompted for an Administrative Password.

For Netscape browsers, on the Edit menu select Preferences. Under the Privacy & Security category, click Cookies. Ensure that cookies are enabled.
